I am a native Knoxvillian from the Lakemoor Hills area in South Knoxville. Uncle Sam took me away and gave me to the Marine Corps. They kept me for over eight years before giving me up to the Department of Energy. I stayed with various operations within DOE facilities for more than twenty years. Through out this time, I lived in over twenty-five different communities across this beautiful country of ours. However, both my wife and I always wanted to come back to East Tennessee. Several years ago, we were able to return and I re-established my roots. I chose to leave the nuclear industry so I could help people find homes in East Tennessee.

I graduated from Young High School and attended Tennessee Wesleyan College before entering the Marine Corps. I earned associate degrees from Greenville Tech (Greenville, South Carolina) and my Bachelors from Washington State University in Environmental Science. I have been a Cub Scout Leader, a member of the Smoky Mountain Hiking Club and I am very involved in church activites. My wife, Pat, and I have been married over 36 years. We have one daughter who is a children’s librarian in Florida. When time allows, we love to spend time in the beautiful Smoky Mountains.
